Hotel in Bursa, Turkey

Blue Diamond

Ataturk Palace

The transformation of the Ataturk Museum in Bursa into the Palace Hotel is a story of honoring history while embracing a new purpose. Rather than altering the essence of the original structure, the project preserved the existing interior pillars as key architectural elements, maintaining the building’s authentic character.

Together with the Chief Architect, Bobo Krivokapic, Marija Kovac and her team, contributed to this dialogue between past and present by designing and creating stained glass crowns for each pillar. Inspired by traditional Turkish ornaments and vibrant cultural colors, these elements were carefully crafted to complement the heritage of the space while introducing a refined artistic layer. The renewed appearance of the pillars is further enhanced by stained glass ornamentation incorporated into the window-doors, creating a cohesive visual language throughout the interior.

As light interacts with the glass, the pillars come to life-becoming both structural and visual anchors-transforming the interior into a harmonious blend of history, craftsmanship, and contemporary hospitality
